Q f ' I - if J K iz.: 153.5 assi ,sg E. Davis, Secretary, R. Stein, Vice-President, C. Short, President, E, Migala, Treasurer. As freshmen we started off just as green as the many other classes before us but with plenty of vim, vigor and vitality. Not know- ing which way to turn, we just sat about with dumb looks on our faces-which was hard for us being such a smart class--waiting for our sponsors to tell us what to do. First, we were told, Elect officers. So we looked over our large, large field of bright and promising studies and decided to elect for president, Betty Wodrich, vice-president, Nan Richey, secretary, Paula Migalag and treasurer, Jack Braddock. Then we discov- ered that every class needs a little money to survive the four years ahead of them, so we sponsored a dance -and paper drive. This helped to fill a little of the big empty space in our treasury box. 'You can't have all work and no play in school so our fellows decided to get knocked around a bit in football. A lot of them won places on the bench and came out of football season with just a few minor injuries such as broken legs, broken backs and a few broken necks. And so our freshman year ended without a catastrophe. Well, those who made the grade call themselves sophomores this year. Being a little wiser from last year's experiences, we were able to start right off. Since that treasury wasn't very big and needed more money, we sponsored a dance, another big paper drive, and the concessions at a foot- ball game. ln between money-making jobs we worried about grades, our fellows got knocked around in football and basketball, and we decided on our leaders for the year which were president, Cha Short, vice- president, Dick Steing secretary, Evelyn Davisg and treasurer, Edward Migala. We close this year wishing we'd studied more and played less but hoping to become juniors on what we did do.
