FREMONT On September l7, Port Clinton traveled to Fremont to play Ross. lt was our open- inq qarne and our team Went into contest with several boys in the line-up who had no previous experience. Fre- mont foraed ahead in the first half to qain a l947 lead. ln the third quarter P. C. went on a touchdown drive,rnak- ina the score l9-l4. Despite long aains in the fourth quarter, we were unable to score again. As the final qun sounded, P. C. received its first defeat l9-l4. NORWALK Because Port Clinton was beaten at Norwalk last year by a score of 33425, thereby beina nosed out of the Little Biq Four Championship, we were out for revenqe this year and got it. ln the first few minutes, Port Clinton scored without much difficulty. The qame carried on until the Redskins had made 66 pol.nts on eleven touchdowns and 7 on extra points, rnakinq the final score 73-U. Norwalk never threatened Port Clintons goal mrouahout the whole aame due io the locals' impene- trable defense. LIMA CENTRAL Vfzih the opening kick-off of the Lima Central dame, Port Clinton fans were to witness the best football qarne of the year and one of the better games in Port C1inton's foot- ball ltsfory. Lima Central drew fgrst blood with a touch- aowr. the openina few rnin- utes of the qarne. Prom that t1rr.e on, Port Clinton went wio a running and pass- ra 'tack that dazzled the l..-5 Cftou, vrsgtors. Lima Central made three rrore touchdowns be- fore fbe aame ended, but the f1Yl ll score was 5524 with an- other 'Jiotory for the Bla Reds.
