It is the main goal of the boy's physical education department to de- velop coordination and strength through gymnastics, weight-training, swimming, conditioning and recreational activities such as archery and volleyball. All students are classified into six weight divisions and a record is kept of their progress. This is printed on IBM cards and posted to encourage further improvement. The girl's physical education depart- ment strives to teach a knowledge and appreciation of sports as well as skill in participation. Students are tamiliarized with such activities as golf, tennis, table tennis, shutfleboard and folk and square dancing that may later fill many leisure hours.
