MQ? z .jlfzfiea Q ln the seniors' homes that Friday morn No one was found to be forlornp Suitcases were packed and ready to go With clothes for rain, sun, or snow. We boarded the bus with no delay And left the circle with little dismay. We talked, sang, and told some iokes Which seemed to make some almost ch The South American was the ship Which took us on our pleasure-trip, The vessel itself was really quite large, But the cabins seemed small for such a Every day we would take a trek From the bow to the quarter-deck. We'll not forget the ship-board fun Nor the new friends that we've won. A wonderful time was had on the isle, We walked or rode for many a mile. We went from Sugar Loaf to the fort, From the Grand Hotel back to the port. The dance proved the gala event, The air was filled with merriment. Couples were dancing around the floor On the boat far from the shore. Souvenirs were collected by all, But suitcases wouldn't hold the haul. After a week-end without any rest, Sleep was then the main request. oke. barge. .C.E.
