The hiqhlic-ghT oT The year was The Club Council dance, Tor which each club conTribuTed a cerTain amounT Trom iTs Treasury Toward The cosT oT The dance. l-lecTor Lopez, repre- senTaTive oT The Spanish Club, presided over The Club Council. IT FUR FU . The Club Council Dance was considered one oT The besT dances ever held aT Pl-TS. The Theme This year was Chinese FesTival, wiTh The l-larmonaires supply- ing The music. The dance was held aT The Ebell Club. The TirsT Club Council dance was held lasT year wiTh The Beachcomber's Bounce as iTs Theme. The dance Turned ouT To be such a success ThaT The Club Council sponsored anoTher dance This year. The response was even greaTer Than The TirsT. No doubT The evenT will become an annual aTTair.

Beniamin, C. Heflin. ROW 3: J. Smurd, D. Mead, J. Brost, D. Anthony, R. Bush, B. Hamblin, R. Pinkston, B. Besse, B. Wood. ROW 4: D. Stephens, L. Mount, D. Kearney, J. Taylor, D. Hill, R. Lawrence, B. Lawrence, W. Platt, D. Brooks, J. Encinas, R. Goodrich. Ernie Arutunian, Lettermen's Club President Boys that have participated in a Varsity sport or two B or J V sport are eligible for the Lettermens Club. The main project of the year was the Sports' Extravaganza, which helped finance sillc and cotton jerseys Tor the basketball and track teams. Their entry in the Homecoming Parade was judged most comical float. The lcey clulo is chiefly a service club. Every year they present a gift, which was a proiection screen this year.
