November 22- The season's over now, and although the boys didn't have my valuable assistance, they managed to come out second in the league, being beaten by Riverside and San Berdoo. I was especially proud of their team spirit, which plays an important part in whether or not their season is successful. I had double duty with the BEE TEAM: I carried the water and played mascot at the same time. This was possible because the Imp games were all played in the afternoon. Andy Russo and Dick Bentley both received special honors at the Bee Football Banquet. Andy was voted by his teammates as most valuable player of the year while Dick was voted the most improved. The tilt we played at Chajjley was the most exciting one of the casaba campaign. The lead changed hands time after time. W'hen the final gun sounded, the score stood 32 all. So we went into overtime. W'ith heart failure riding on every shot, the first overtime went scoreless. Then in the second orertinze, which was sudden death, Dick Hill dumped in two charity tosses to gire the contest to our Devils 34-32.
