Coach Latham managed his team with excellent supervision and foresight, presenting a schedule for the preseason games which was the best ever 'ro be set up. match- ing Pomona with the most outstanding teams in Southern California, including Monrovia, EI Monte, and Whittier. The record maintained until league play stood at 5 losses to 4 wins, meaning that 'l'he team had lcept a fairly good average. For fhe first time Pomona has had a dfouble round in its tennis schedule. The first round stood with 2 wins and 3 delears. The second, headed by River- side which fell 5-4, should prove to be better than the tirsr as the team needed experience. The +eam this year consists mostly of sophomores and iuniors which presents an excellent crop for nexf year. Pomioyna has not won the C. B.
