The deparTmenT is new This year and sTill in iTs preliminary TlighT sTage. The high school division has been grouped on The basis of The elevenTh and TwelTTh years. Each grade is divided inTo six groups which meeT during physical educaTion periods on designaTed days Tor group guidance. Each group has a TaculTy counselor and an assisTanT who acT as personal counselors on educaTional and ciTizenship problems. An exTensive group program was conducTed in The high school classes, and sTandardized TesTs were given concerning sTudy habiTs, personaliTy, and vocaTional inTeresTs. The iunior college sTudenTs were divided as To Their vocaTional inTeresTs: aero- nauTical, commercial, musical, and so TorTh. Members oT The TaculTy wiTh similar inTeresTs headed These divisions. More personal guidance was available Tor Those sTudenTs who had no parTicular choice or inTeresTs. The Guidance Program was designed To promoTe a closer relaTionship beTween The sTudenTs and Their insTrucTors and To aid The sTudenT To obTain The mosT beneTiT Trom his school years.
