Many fans quit smiling as the Bears slipped by the Parrots T2-6. The next two games resulted in losses. The Houston Reagan game September 28, took a surprise ending with Reagan coming from behind in the last quarter to defeat Poly 18-7. The Parrots fourth loss was on October 4 at Lufkin. The scoreboard showed Lufkin 'I3 and Poly O. The field looked unconquerable on October ll as Poly met undefeated Longview. But this time the Parrots came out ahead T2-7.
