Some juniors took a ditterent approach to the study ot American Literature and American History this year. lanice Brum- ley and lean Pettigrew together mapped out a closely related course ot study tor their students in these two classes. Some ot their goals were to trace history from Colo- nial times to the present and to gain per- spective on America and Americans by reading, analysis, and discussion ot litera- ture, history and related philosophies and cultural aspects.
