We've made it to the top The H986 Varsity Cheerleaders attended NCA Cheerleading Camp at Furman Univer- sity in luly tor tive days. While there we won tive blue ribbons, and one red ribbon tor our performances. We won the spirit stick tor continuing enthusiasm twice which allowed us to bring it home. Qur sponsor is Mrs. Robin Foster, who attend- ed camp with us while she was eight months pregnant, which makes it sate to say she has been our most-dedicated sponsor. Qur cap- tains are Cindy White and Angie Miller. With cooperation trom our entire squad we have been able to improve greatly! We sponsored activities tor Homecoming week, a Homecoming Dance, a Halloween Dance and with the Student Council co-spon- sored a Christmas Dance. Junior Varsity Cheerleaders The l985-86 lunior Varsity Cheerleaders may not be as good as some others but are dedicated to their job. They are currently wearing the varsity's old uniforms, hoping to get new ones. Their sponsor, Brenda Gallman, is the mother ot one ot the cheerleaders, Tana Tapp. She accepted that duty during the summer to help them meet their goal ot becoming a good cheerleading squad. lunior Varsity Cheerleaders are Wendi Wolfe, Tana Tapp fCaptainl, Yvette Pruitt, Cfretchin Hinson and Angel Gilbert. Some ot their activities in- clude sponsoring a lunior High Home- coming Dance, selling spirit links, and homecoming pins. Their sponsor is Teresa Hales.
