The gym was ro- mantically decorated with candlelight and ever- greens. A festive atmosphere, plus music, and refreshments made the evening one to remember. MW. JUNIOR-SENIDR PROM An atmosphere of romantic Hawaii presided over the Junior-Senior Prom on May 8, l959. The scenery represented the sun setting over a Hawaiian beach. It was so realistic one almost expected the surf to tumble into the gym. Red, orange, pink, green, and blue streamers transformed the room into a wonderland of merriment. There were pineapple centerpieces on every table and palm trees scattered in every corner and doorway. The waitresses dressed in grass skirts and leis and the waiters in typical native dress added color and gaiety to the mood of the evening. With the dreamy music of the Rhythmettes floating through the air, we could easily imagine we were in Hawaii.
