Each player commiT- Ted herself To improving her baskef- ball skills. ParT of These skills were cor- recT body posiTion on The courT, dribbling, shooTing, making lay-ups and Tree Throws. Besides learning defensive and offensive plays, The girls also worked on The lifefime skill of Teamwork and cooperaTion. Be- cause There were no TryouTs for This program, all of The girls were placed on Teams and parficipafed in a Tournamenf. The games were played in The gymnasium aT Pleas- anT Lea Elemenfary wiTh parenTs and friends cheering on The Teams. Coaches Lisa lvlendlick and Carol i Bryan were proud of The players and Their gain in baskefball skills.
