46 fClubs 'A 4 Y ,ze CUB, TIGER CONCERT BA DS Taking It To The Streets The Three bands of PLJH had a hecTic fun year. 'lBand sTudenTs are generally highly moTivaTed person- ally wiTh enThusiasm and creaTiviTy. And ThaT makes iT easy for me To have posiTive classes, commenTed band direcTor Ms. Pam Henry. OuT of lasT year's slxTh grade, 86 made Cub Band. They worked very hard To prepare Themselves for The Two concerTs They had during The year. The firsT concerT was in De- cember in which They played Pre- lude and Fugue and ProjecT March . Needless To say, Their hard work paid off. There was no Time for nervousness, They were Too busy playing well. Tiger Band also had a full year. Their concerTs were in November and May as well as preparing for Eric Sullivan plays The vio- lin in The STrings concerT. Chondra Davis, Mike Day, Darrin York and Chris Hemme give Their besT during pracTice. Playing for Miss Henry are sTu- denTs Melinda Hassler, Brenda Miller and Robby STeTson. conTesT in March. Through all of ThaT They found Time To play aT pep as- semblies and The ChrisTmas assem- bly. Tiger Band consisTed of 30 eighTh graders who meT every day To work. ConcerT Band consisTed of 54 hard working members who believe pracTice and loving To play was Their secreT To success. Besides Their conTesT, They also had Two con- cerTs, Three assemblies and Toured elemenTary schools. All of The members of The bands agreed ThaT Miss Henry had worked hard To make The class fun and edu- caTional wiTh a relaxed aTmo- sphere. One member summed up Their feelings, l'I'll miss Mlss Henry when l'm in high school. ,WM WN MK-
