In homeroom, the students and their teacher-adviser discuss contact cards, Discovery Day schedules, enrollment schedules and any other decisions or problems facing the students. All homerooms enter into a contest in which the top two homerooms earn a free evening out at the end of the year. Points can be earned in intermurals, honor rolls, the Spelling Bee, orations, magazine sales and the paper drive. This contest brings competition and the desire to participate and do well in school. Our teacher-advisor program is unique. Pleasent Lea Jr. High is one of the few schools to have this program. Visitors come from other schools and observe. More schools are devel- oping a similar teacher-advisor program. ,ll lj Mrs. Jones celebrates the birthdays of her h0m6r00m- 23 Mr. Shrout's h0m61'00m DHHS for Vlctory' h t les 35 Mrs. Horne's homeroom take care of doug nu SH '
