Band Play It Again, Tigers. There are three types of bands at PLJH, Cub Band, Tiger Band and Concert Band. Each band performs at several assemblies and concerts a year. Tiger and Cub band members have a chance to move up to Con- cert Band at semester time by playing the five major scales memorized. In the spring of their 7th grade year girls tried out for the 1981-82 cheer-1ead- ing squad. The final choices were made based on their gymnastic ability, their ap- pearance, and their citizenship grade. The squad cheered at football, volleyball and basketball games. They also cheered at the student-faculty games and at tourna- ments. The cheerleaders spent alot of after-school time practicing and planning pep rallys.
