Stu- dents try for positions in the fall of their seventh grade year. Practices are held after school and each member must attend and be on time. Under the direction of Miss Gloria Helmer the group per- formed at school assemblies, PTA meetings, and also sang with Black and Gold at the Blue Ridge Mall during the holidays. This year, under the di- rection of Mrs. Maria Max- well, orchestra performed for a P.T.A. meeting, the Christ- mas assembly, and went to contest.
