At 10:00, the people who take care of the meat dishes, and salads come in. The cooks make the cinna- mon rolls. They enjoy Work- ing with the kids of Pleasant Lea Junior High, and they like the summers off. They also make food for the grade schools. The custodians maintain the halls, lockers, and offices. She was in charge of scheduling the mothers to work during the days and of keeping the school health records, including the disability list. All students came to know Mrs. Arnsmeyer very well and she and her volunteers were known for their care and concern for the students. They helped students with schedules, assignments and reading. These women also brought with them warmth and friendship to all of the students.
