The Library was headed by Mrs. Sharon Early. Mrs. Wanda Beaman and Mrs. Shirley Standlea as- sisted Mrs. Early in intro- ducing to students the fil- ing system of the PLJ H li- brary and in locating spe- cial material. Library tours were held for classes so that students could get a good exposure and un- derstand how to help themselves. Mrs. Early also was in charge of ordering new books and equipment. All of the audio and visual equipment were under her supervision. Students were chosen to assist during school hours in the library. These students had to be recommended and received a grade for their work. Librarians: Mrs. Sharon Early, Mrs. Wanda Beaman, Mrs. Shirley Standlea. Mrs. Wanda Beaman worked in the upstairs library while Mrs. Shirley Stanlea helped Mrs. Early in the downstairs library. The librarians did lots of things, such as checking out books and collecting fines. She was in charge of scheduling the mothers to work during the days and of keeping the school health records, including the disability list. All students came to know Mrs. Arnsmeyer very well and she and her volunteers were known for their care and concern for the students.
