SENIOR SNAPS 1986 % Class Of 1986 SENIORS 2 Senior Prophecy This is Guy Smilie reporting to you live from Plateau Valley School where the class of 1986 is holding their ten year reunion. As we enter the gymnasium, we see the legendary Alaskan guide and trapper, Dan Hulk, in a buckskin tuxedo with Bahama Resort owner Gary Hornberger. Christina Boren and Shawn Schuman, Oscar winning actresses for their performances in To Live in Happy Valley, are in a group with Kama Dix, Dee Dee (Sidney) Hall, and Foxie Hutchinson. Kama recently won gold and silver medals skiing in the Olympics. Sidney is now president of the Pepsi-Cola Company. Foxie, Time Magazine's Mother of the Year, is telling the girls about the new dress she made. Head coach of the Miami Dolphins, Jeff Taylor, is talking to Dallas Ridenour, punter and chief ticket-taker for the Dallas Cowboys, about the dangers of steroids. Shawn Walter and Jeff Jacobucci are in deep conversation. Shawn, a microbiologist, recently won the Nobel Prize for discovering a vaccine for the common cold. Jeff, a powerful and well connected attorney, is discussing patent law with him. Collbran's marshal, Kevin Kees, is handcuffed to Todd Mason. Todd was arrested for transferring three million dollars from the IRS to his personal savings account using a home computer. With them is state trooper Mike Armstrong. Sports legend and high jump world record holder Greg Latham is talking to Shelly Clark, a prosperous travel agent. Shelly is booking Greg on a cruise around the world. Listening in with interest are Lee Meyring, Tim Melendy, and Rob Gibson. Lee is the Valley's best veterinarian, Tim is the most popular mechanic in Beverly Hills, and Rob owns his own line of eighteen wheelers. And over in the far corner are Bonnie Redding and Sheila Forsberg. Bonnie is the head mechanic for Airforce One, the President's jet, and Sheila owns her own advertising agency. Finally we see Warren Beldon and Tommy Feller munching on chips. Warren just got back from an expedition on Mt. Everest where he was doing some mapping. I see Tommy has his old pager on his hip. He is now St. Mary's finest flight nurse. You can see Air Life on the football field. Well, that concludes our broadcast. Now back to our regularly scheduled program, Grand Junction Vice. _________________________ LARGEST SELECTION LOWEST PRICES CENtEArL ’S-W'wn E or- tkt Latest Fjshioaj EiEWEAK NEWzsT'i CrifTAfS J % GRAND JUNCTION, CO 81501 . 1318 NORTH AVENUE X, X, r, x, -r, x, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, lSENIOR IWILLS Greg Latham, will my ability to run track to anyone that thinks they can get as many medals as I have. This fall, the marching band traveled to Det.a to participate in the west, slope «arching band contest. We did quite well recieving a close second place in the Class 1 A division. Then this spring, we attended the West Slope Music Festeval in Grand Junction. We were really hoping for a rating of a 1 but only got a 2. However, it was the best performance we gave all year so we were satisfied. the officers were, Shawn Walter, President; Kim Fullmer, Vice President; Kelly Cox, Secretary; Karen Encke, Student Council Representative; Kelly Cox, Drum Major; Karen Encke, Head Majorette; Shawn Walter, Student Conductor. The majorettes were Karen Encke, Dalyn Thompson, Diana Lienburger, and Traci Latham. We had a very young band and since we are only losing one senior, we are looking forward to a very good year next year. 36 Shawn Walter, President.; Kira Fullmer; Vice President; Kelly Cox, Secretary, Karen Encke Student Council Representative. Very dedicated young man missed one game the last two years due to an eye injury - very consistent. Je-f-f was our 2nd leading scorer - 9 points game, 2nd in free throw percentage - 69% (earned the name iceman -for coolness on the line.) Leading rebounder amoung guards. Best Defensive PIayer. Dallas R i denour- Show over 40% from the field, 2nd on team in steflJs - really made our pressure defenses work! Hasn't Missed a game in 2 years - very consistent and dedicated young man. Excedent rebounder for a guard. Ularren Bel don- Shot 437 from the floor, was our leading rebounder (6.9 per game), 3rd leading scorer (8.1 points per game). Warrem played with intensity and emotion - gave us inside game that we needed to complete our outstanding guards. Really appreciated his honesty, integrity and 1eadersh i p . Greo Latham- Usually started £reg to insure we got the first possesion of the game (via Jump Ball) Don't remember him being outjumfied the past two years by any of the much taller opponents. Despite only playing 14 games (due to illnes and injury), still had second most assists and was third leading rebounder. Unofficially lead team in blocked shots. Will certainly miss 12 flying around the gym next year. Dan Hulk- Dan was forced to quit after 8 games due to bad knees. Greatly missed Dan's desire, hustle, and leadership when he was forced to retire. Also appreciated his honesty, I am thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Dan. tms 07 w mm BACK ROW - Toni Anderson, Beu Skrbina, Shelly Baier SECOND ROW - Kim Fullmer, Lisa Hill, Kelly Cox, Colleen Dahl by FRONT ROW - Dalyn Thompson, Bonnie Redding, Kari Mikesell, Karen Encke, Dianna Lienburger Head Coach Mr. Larry Price and Assistants, Kim McDaniels and Drew Grubs happpily hold -first place plaques -for both the boys and girls track teams.
