J ofi(i£cy 1989 “Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention, please . . . may I have your attention, please. Thank you. Good afternoon. I’m your tour guide. Our first stop will be at the mansion of the world's most prominent millionaire, James Richard Stites I. Here we are now at Superstar Avenue. Please remain seated until the bus has come to a complete stop, and please stay in a group during the tour. May I caution you to remain silent and act in an orderly fashion due to the fact that there are other groups visiting the mansion. Here on my left, behind these massive oak doors, lie the elaborate ballroom and dining room. I’m sorry you’ll be unable to view this room, but there is a reunion in session at this time. If you will please follow me, we will continue our tour. Oh, pardon me, do you have a question, sir? What? I’ve already explained that no one will be allowed in the dining room. There are many prestigious guests present and they cannot be bothered by ... a group such as this. Sir, must you be difficult? Well, all right; I’ll read you the guest list. And as long as we’re here, we may as well have a little peek, but you must remain SILENT! As you look on at the ten year reunion of the Plateau Valley High School class of 1979, you will see seated the two class sponsors. Miss Haakenson and Mr. Colacicco. Neither of them have changed much although Mr. Colacicco seems to be minus a few hairs. The class of '79 has done very well since graduation. Many members have entered into the field of professional sports. Bob Peden, who has just replaced Craig Morton as quarter- back for the Denver Broncos, is in deep discussion with Lynn VonEhrenkrook, the Denver Nuggets’ super cen- ter. Chris Pendergast, who is making millions as a pro baseball player, is discussing the pros and cons of drag racing with Tom Shiflet, recent winner of the Indy 500, and “Awful (Jim) Estes, who is “Evel Knievel's stif- fest competition. Luann Wallace has just come in, returning from the National Rodeo Finals where she won the world championship in barrel racing for the fifth year in a row. Bill Hoke also had a part in the finals, for he has a world-wide reputation for breeding and training the best rodeo stock, and many of his animals were used in the rodeo. Jim Kingery is also into farming and or ranching. Shannon Christie, bank executive at Chase-Manhattan of New York City; Rose Anne Kelley, personal secre- tary of a well-to-do accountant; and Alberta Mow, secretary to the world’s shortest lawyer. Ruby Severson, have all just flown in from New York City where they are employed. David Hill builds cars; and Rich Coleman, alias Columbo II, has done an even better job chasing the cars down. After several years of continued education and much hard work, Zack Hill has become the scientist his classmates always knew he would be. Londa Wells is a successful child psychiatrist. Also in the medical-rela- ted field is Lori Henderson, a physical therapist, who has gotten a lot of abused bodies into really great shape. Approaching the end of the table, we find the last five guests on the list. Carol Nichols, a noteworthy drafts- woman, has been busy designing a new line of computers for NASA, where Chris Swainston is the head com- puter technician. Carrie Karlson and Jill McGee were just barely able to make it in time for the reunion, due to a fuel shortage in Paris where Jill is an architect and Carri has a large branch of interior design boutiques. And last, the class of '79 has the honor of having present the woman who has had more poster pin-up sales than Farrah Fawcett and who has just been voted Model of the Year, Penny Nichols. “Well folks, time is running short; if we are to finish the tour, we must move on. Over here we have. . .”
