It's a lazy summer afternoon in a small home on the outskirts of Collbran. Three women are sitting around a kitchen table drinking coffee. On a wall in the kitchen hangs a pair of old basketball shoes and a picture of CHRIS SKRBINA in the traditional green and white basketball uniform. Chris is pouring coffee for some friends who are seated around the table. CAROL SCHAFER, wearing a wedding band on her left hand, holding a small child in her arms. PAM WELLS is also sitting there drinking coffee and looking content with her surroundings. The main topic is a class reunion to be held at the Rocket Drive-In in Grand Junction, Colorado. Everything is ready to go, except for sending out the invitations and making sure that everyone receives them in time to attend. After several days of hard work, the invitations are ready to go. The girls travel down to the local post office to get them in the mail. They are met at the door bythe local mayor, horse trainer, and postmistress D’ANN LONG. It seems that D'Ann has been trying for years to get out of Collbran, but she hasn’t had much success. The girls fill D’Ann in on what is happening and she agrees to mail the invitations. The invitations are on the way, so the girls travel back to Chris’s house to finish off the last can of coffee. The scene changes to New York where KAREN EARLEY is working hard on designing clothes for the year 2,000. When Karen receives her invitation she quickly makes a call to the Hilton Hotel where CINDY MOHRMAN is staying before making her first appearance singing on Broadway, to see if she has received her invitation. It’s evening and Freddie Foreman is lying on his couch on his $5,000,000 ranch watching Saturday night basketball on T.V. The game is between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks. The Celtics are winning 78 to 54. and the Celtics leading scorer JOHN HARPER has already put in 52 points during the first half of the game. John is a six-year veteran for the Celtics and is making a very big rebound in life. GEORGE CURRIER is at home enjoying a bottle of Coke after working all week at his Pepsi factory. George was given the factory for being the first human ever to drink 4,989,003 cases of Pepsi in a total of 28 years of life. It seems that after skiing season 1976 ended. CHRJS FELCZAK never took off his skis. To receive his invitation, he had to be stopped on the slopes of Aspen Highlands, after making his two-millionth free style run. After 16 years of college STEVEN THORNBERG has finished his education in Science and has totally worn down all of the tires on his jeep. JEFF DILLON has finished his rodeo career after beating Larry Mahan out of the rodeo of the Century Award. Steven and Jeff have united to become the science team known as AMBROSE and BERT. With these two master minds they are going to create the world's first bucking jeep to ever stradle the highway. DEBBIE CONNOR is working hard as a pre-school teacher in Denver. Debbie decides not to attend the reunion for the reason that she can't find anyone brave enough to teach her 350 young students. CRAIG WOODRING'S invitation has to be flown in by plane to Canada. Craig is silting a-top the tallest pine tree in the world trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life. DONNA GIBSON is still hard at work trying to keep-up her image of being the most talked about girl in the class of 1976. Donna spends at least $100 a month on phone bills, just so she can make sure all of the rumors at least get started right. EVA HALL receives her invitation by way of canoe on a small island in the South Pacific. You see Eva is performing Acts of Florence Nightengale on coconuts and palm trees before making her first attack upon the natives of the island. STACY F1F1ELD has finally tied the knot and is now the father of nine kids. When asket why he had so many children, Stacy replied, I plan on being the first coach with a family football team to hit the Super Bowl.” Stacy will attend the reunion just as soon as he finishes building his locker room. EVONNE CLICK purchased her own blue Datsun and is traveling cross-country on a single tank of gas. When Evonne receives her invitation she decides that it shouldn't take over a tank and half of gas to travel from Oxnard, California, to Grand Junction, Colorado, for the reunion. Please, remember that this was written in good humor, but one never knows what strange things fate may bestow upon our futures. 18
