5' ,filufi This year the Plainview Pep Club cheered a lusty Pirate crew through another highly successful season in football. The ninety-five members of this club, whose purpose is to support our team in victory and defeat, are all grateful to the athletic boys for the winning teams they provided in return for our cheers. Thank you, boys. You've made our job worthwhile. Our uniforms were red skirts, white sweaters with Pirate emblems on the left shoulder. Each member has been required to wear her uniform to all games both at home and out of town. Our first team cheerleaders were: Colleen Hoffman, Carrolyn Hoffman,Jayne Tepner, and Barbara Thieman. Second team cheerleaders were: Shirley Albin, Joyce Hoffman, Jackie Twiss, and Ellen Thieman. Our Pep Club Banquet was held March 25. The theme Pep Steam, Coach, Team, was carried out in the decorations, programs and menu. Everyone turned out in their Sunday best for this traditional celebration in honor of our Plainview High School Athletes. Pep Club officers for this year were: Nancy Houston, President, Frances Hieter, Vice- Presidentg Frances Loney, Secretary, Mary Houston, Treasurer, Phyllis Boydston, Food Chair- mang Donna Hornik, Assistant Food Chairmang and Delores Holmes, Newsreporter, Sponsors were Miss Kraemer, Miss Schacht, and Miss Tellman. Remember we'll be back next year supporting our team with pep and enthusiasm. .T , ,Hicew
