BACK ROW: Richard Burger, managerg Charlie White, Dwight Lindley, Bob Lumpkin, Dean Roseboom, Randy Ward, Larry Herring, manager. High Scoring Varsity Achieved 8-14 Season Sharp shooting from the field combined with de- termination and teamwork, helped the Burros finish the season carrying a 70 -point average per game . Coach Compton also added a very effective full court press to the Burros' defense . The team employed the press often and to great effect, especially in the 100--58 victory over New Ross . The Burros made up for their lack of height with rebounds like these. Though not abounding in height, the tallest man was 6'1 , the Burros fought for the rebounds and were able to fast break effectively. The Burros finished fifth in the county standings . At the Cascade tourney, the Burros picked up a third place finish behind Cloverdale and Cascade . Long hours of hard practice were needed for setting up plays. 22

Waveland 42 50 Coached by Mr. Williams, the team Nei-tn Salem 41 39 gained speed and control, and on many Ei-ninenee 29 33 occasions led the opposing teams most Wells 38 55 of the game. All the players gained Plainfield 29 55 valuable experience which will benefit Danville 32 47 their future basketball careers.
