Fifteen Titans Honored by Bank of America Fifteen Bank of America Awards are presented each year to graduating seniors who have made outstajiding achievements in various specific fields. Eleven of these seniors receive certificates and the other four get engraved plaques. The award winners are chosen according to their grade point average and teacher recommendations. The final decision is made by the Guidance Personnel. The plaque winners are eligible for scholarship competition with other winners. CSF Life — A Worthwhile Achievement CS.F. Life Membership is a difficult honor to attain. One must be a member of C.S.F., four out of the last six semesters, including one in your senior year. Twenty-one scholars achieved CS.F. Life Membership this year. The proud members receive a CS.F. Life membership Gold Seal on their diplomas, get recognition during commencement exercises, and are hon- ored at the annual CS.F. Awards Dessert. Outstanding Seniors Claim Awards Students receiving outstanding recognition include Nidia Cardoza, who was this year ' s DAR Citizenship Award Winner, which is sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The award is given annually to a senior girl who meets all of the qualifications which are: cooperation, leadership, dependability, service, and patriotism. All senior girls vote for the girl they feel is most qualified. Pioneer ' s only National Merit Finalist this year is Henry Klein, who scored very high on the SAT test. One must be at least in the 1% tile to enter into the finals. This year ' s State Representative is Judy Brooks, Judy has the task of representing all the girls at PiHi. Along with two other award winners: Brent Gaston and Sylvia Dorado. These two students won the I Dare You Award. The award is given to two students that show leadership and strength in charaaer. Another prize is the Gemco Scholarship won by Jon Lee. Bank of America Winners continued: FaT Lsft — Top to Bottom: Mathematics — Pam McKenzie Trades and Industrial — Ruben Perez.
