I The hint of joy is already in the air; it ' s Fri- day. Second period ends and students all travel mystically in the same direction. The doors of the gym clog instantly with crazed idiots. The swarm pours into the gym yelling and jumping. They come in all styles. Some are dressed as Indians, while others are decorated in bal- loons and streamers. The quieter ones hoist signs and in some cases other people. This is what pep rallies are all about. Pinson Valley has always shown a tremen- dous amount of spirit. This spirit is held at all times but is unleashed in a pep rally. It is a great source of fun and we feel, important — just ask any football player.
