Wrestling Team Wins Sectional And Shoots For State Title. ■K The Pinson Valley wrestling team had another terrific year complement- ing the previous two years. This year ' s record was 8-1, giving a total of thiny-four wins and only four losses to the young Indian team. Coach Murphy started the program three years ago. He has taken the team to two consecutive sectional champi- onships and to a third place ranking in the state. This year eleven wrestlers earned berths to the state champion- ships, with four regional champions. These were Shane Ward, Ion Mark Taylor, Curtis McFailing, and Frank Brewster. In the state tournament, several wrestlers gained honors. Ronnie Davis, Robert Wilson placed fourth while Shane Wade, Rex Hagood, Curtis McFarling, and Frank Brewster placed third. Roger Little came home with the highest honors placing 2nd in the state .
