MRS. ROBERT W. GWIN PRESIDENT County Board Promotes Educational Excellence Pinson Valley High School is an integral part of the Jefferson County Board of Education, the largest suburban school system in Alabama. The School Board con- sists of five citizens, elected by popular vote, to serve staggered terms as the deci- sion and policy-making body. The Board operates under the committee system to approve educational pro- grams, new construction projects, and employ the necessary personnel to effec- tively operate the school system. Dr. George E. Rudd is chairman of the adminis- tration committee and Mr. Jack E. Brymer, Sr. , is co-chairman. Dr. Jack M. Dabbs serves as chairman of the systems management committee and Mr. Randall 1. Godwin is co-chairman. The president of the School Board, Mrs. Robert W. Gwin, serves as ex-officio member of each. Dr. J. Revis Hall serves the Board as superintendent and secretary, and is respon- sible for carrying out the Board ' s decisions. Dr. J. Revis Hall. Superintendem Dr. George E.
