A Dedication To A Friend when this man first came to Pinson Valley, he faced, as every new principal does, the prospect of unfamiliarity with faculty members as well as students. A new school awaited him with all the problems an educator faces. He came to us two years ago, well experienced in dealing with students, their needs, and their problems. That well-known, How are you? and friendly pat on the shoulders go everywhere with him as he not only leads this school as principal, but is known among the students and faculty as a friend. Students will long remember this friendship and leadership as bright spots in their four years of high school . Concern and dedication are two great qualities found in him. For these, Mr. Howell, and more, we are proud to dedicate to you this 1976-1977 Pinson Valley Chieftain.

Ed . from the University of North Alabama and the University of Montevallo. WALLACE HUEY is the assistant principal at the Middle School. Mr. Huey received his B.S. and M.S. from Auburn and Mississippi State University. EDDIE SHORTNANCY is the assistant principal at the Middle School and is director of the Pinson Valley Human Resource Center.
