These girls also give a little-cheer to the teachers by decorating the teachers lounge at different holidays. Phyliss Curry talks to the FTA members to encourage them to sell key chains, sachets, telephone and address books and etc., to help raise money for the oncoming convention. 64

THE FUTURE Homemakers of America is composed of girls from grades 9-12 who have completed at least one year of home economics. Through inspiring programs, this organization strives to train young girls to be our future homemakers. In order to develope these newly-acquired skills these girls participate in the numerous service projects planned by the club officers and sponsors, Mrs. Watkins and Mrs. Wakefield.  FUTURE NURSES OF America prepare students for a career in nursing. It shows them how to prepare for their future, what courses to take, and what to expect from such a career.
