DELEGATES TO Pelican State arc chose by the faculty on the basis of character, service, scholarship, anti loyalty. They attend a week-long conference in Baton Rouge in the summer prior to their senior year. Being introduced to the mechanics of our government through this worthwhile program, the students take an active part in setting up mock governments in hopes that it will strengthen their leadership ability and knowledge of governmental affairs. THE PILOT PROGRAM is designed to assist those students wishing to start early in their college work. Through this program pilot students can actually attend college before-becoming a senior and receive credit for their work. The only limitations are that the student must have completed his junior year with better-than-average grades. He is allowed to take only six hours per session of courses offered to college freshmen.
