Science — The Frontier of Tomorrow PINEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL offers several exploratory science courses which include Chemistry, Chcrn Study, Biology. General Science, and Physics. Students taking these courses acquire a better and fuller insight into the hows and whys” of our earth's making. General Science, made available for freshmen, teaches the basic fundamentals of science and prepares the student for the broader subjects such as biology and physics. Biology deals with animal and plant life, whereas physics consists of a combination of math and chemistry. Having been introduced two years ago, Chem Study is one of the newest courses offered at Pineville High. The more advanced student is advised to take Chem Study rather than Chemistry because more difficult experiments are performed as a result of special textbooks. Chemistry, on the other hand, involves more classwork and less lab work. Mrs. Wilkerson finds a student’s question amusing. Assistant Football Coach Bramlctt sorts the old jerseys.
