WILLIAMS B.S. Southwestern University Senior Math. General Math Mrs Touchet illustrates the proper way to draw a graph. Mr. Tarter explains how to solve quadratic equations. Pincville High offers many different courses in the field of mathematics, ranging from general math to advanced math. Algebra I introduces positive and negative numbers, fundamental operations, solutions bf equations, and factoring. Algebra II brings students further, into the realm of the properties of imaginary numbers. Geometry, the study of two-dimensional figures, gives the fundamentals of planes and angles. Advanced Math brings all the math skills together, wherein the student studies algebra, trigonometry, and fundamental calculus. 17

Qocia! Qtudies Relate Pa si to Present Social Studies, dealing with all aspects of economics, government. and history, are an important part of a student’s schedule. One finds as each day passes, that it becomes more important to know what is happening in the world today, how it is influenced by past events, and how it will affect the future. Civics gives the student an inside l«x k at how the government operates and its effect on society. World history tells the story of man’s beginning and his development physically, mentally, and spiritually. It is an elective, but those preparing for college are urged to take this course. American History gives the student an appreciation of this country’s heritage. As a requirement for graduation, it includes a comprehensive study of communism in which students can compare present day societies. Mr Benjamen points out one of his students' many errors. U.
