In the Earth Sciences this rock collection labeled “Nature's Work Underground won first place. Jackie Haiglcr prepared this exhibit. Pat Ray's scale model of the solar system won first place in the Senior Physics Division. This outstanding exhibit also won the grand prize of the school fair, first in math and second in senior papers at the District Fair, and second in astronomy in the State Science Fair. Skipper” Scallan won second place in Biology with his Digestive System of Animal Riyla. First place in Physical Science was won by C. J. Cavanaugh. His project was a telephone. In the Junior Chemistry Division, David Colvin and Virginia Stagg won second place with a model of a sulphur mining operation.
