Those receiving awards were, Jon Harris-2nd, Algebra I; Kathleen Brister-lst, Geometry I; Jerry Harris-2nd, Biology; Bob Corley- 1st, Chemistry; Dave Taylor-1st. -3 o,cu The new South is not content with ease and gentlemanly virtues alone. This is an age of action and we do not wish to be left behind. Therefore, it is to the schools that the South looks for trained young men and women to man the wheels of the industries that are fast filling up the southern scene. To have trained workers, one must have well-qualified teachers. We are proud of our teachers and students who are striving to build a greater Dixieland, U.S. A.
