SUMMARY OF THE SEASON The Rebel baseball squad finished the'55-’56 season with a fine record. The opener of the year was a perfect game with no one reaching first base. In this game with Pollock, Yates pitched the first 3 innings and Raggio, the last 4. Five players ended the season with batting averages of over . 300. These were: Cecil Raggio - . 386; Ralph Kees - . 354; Jerry Harris - .351; Jon Harris - .350; and Wey-mon Clark - . 325. The 56-’57 season will get under way on March 18th, with the first game to be played in the last week of March. Coach Beall anticipates games with Menard, Buckeye, Boyce, Colfax, and Pollock. The season will probably last about 7 weeks. The District Championship must be decided by April 28th. Since only Menard and Pineville comprise this district, the Championship will be determined this year in a best 3 out of 5 series.
