The Rebs finished the season with a record of seven wins, three losses, and one tie. Primarily the Rebels were a running team, taking to the air when necessary for additional yardage. They showed a well-balanced offensive attack and a coordinated team defense. Highlights of the season include a defeat of Triple AAA Ouachita and a shut-out win over the Class A state finalist, Oakdale. A victory over Winnfield for the Homecoming game also provided excitement for the team and student body. In fact, from the opening game with Marksville the promise of a bright season to come became evident. Corky Yates, a senior, led the local teams in yards gained passing, and Billy Funderburk, the Work horse of the backfield led the squad in scoring with a total of 55 points.
