Senior Hi-Y The Senior Hi-Y sponsored by Mr. Hutchinson has as their pledge “to create, maintain, and to extend throughout the school and community high standards of Christian Character.” The requirements for membership are clean speech, athletics, living, and scholarship. The hoys endeavor to put these concepts into practical use. Hi-Y is an international organization composed of boys who are outstanding in their respective schools. Gary Hays, Jim Breeding. 4-H Club The 4-H Club, whose four H’s stand for head, heart, hands, and health, is always trying to make the best things better. Pineville’s club is a member of the national organization. the purposes of which are to promote better thinking, to foster greater loyalty, and to increase one's ability to produce good farm products. McKenzie. F rench Club “Comment allez-vous?” In the Pineville French Club this phrase is common among its mademoiselles and monsieurs. The club not only broadens its knowledge of the French people and their language but also learns the history and customs of France. This club sponsored by Miss Conerly limits its membership to those who have had a year or more of French. Key Club The Key Club, sponsored by the Pineville Kiwanis Club is a service organization composed of boys from the Senior, Junior and Sophomore grades who have ! een selected on a basis of leadership, scholarship, and character. The club's goals are to develop initiative and leadership, to provide experience in living and working together, and to accept and promote the adoption of higher social, business, and professional standards. 41 First row: Paul Rogers, President; Jesse Doyle.
