AUNTY, confident Juniors marched to the front-another year and the end of the rainbow is ours. We are glad and yet sad to find that all of life is a school. We were very busy because already we could hear the train whistle calling us. We had a dance-the Farmers Frolic sold many beautiful Christmas Cards and stationery. But our most exciting moment was the day we got our class rings. Learning fast, we even dared tread the thespian boards and produce a very successful play, A Family Affair. lst Row: R. Case, P. Petersen, I. Phillips, E. Milspaw, J. Provenzo, T. Beach. 2nd Raw: R. Dye, E. Armi- tage, R. Bergey, H. Danker, B. Tingue, A. Carnahan, J. Burris, D. Gould. 3rd Row: H. Sweeney, R. Tur- zillo, S. Included was the Senior Play, Finders Creepers. We will never forget the surprise Wilbur TG. Scottl got when he iumped into bed with the dead man U. Benthaml who later revived to dance with Granny QD. Babcockl. The Juniors presented Family Affair in which Caroline fA.Dayl received a spanking from Father U. Hollenbeckl. The Operetta, An Old Kentucky Garden, based upon the music of Stephen Foster, was a new feature this year. This presentation was very successful and enjoyed by all. We usually think of going from Rags to Riches as merely a matter of scholastic achievement but social graces are equally important. These dramatic efforts have added greatly to the Finer culture of Pine Valley Central. lst Row: P. Howard, E. Balthaser, A. Day, H. Sweeney, F. Ingersoll, F. Eckert. 2nd Row: Mr. Bleck, A. Scott, G. ILLY, strutting, sophomores we came, we saw, and slowly conquered foreign fields like geometry, biology and world history. Theorems, phylum, kings and girls were mysteries comparable to finding the Lost Continent. But determined we climbed and gradually came to the silverclouds above. Extra-curricularly we really tried and we were thrilled by our first dance-a Halloween Dance . Mid pumpkins, corn stalks and orange streamers . To bolster our treasure and help school spirit we sold schedule pencils, and too, we had a gala class party in anticipation of our Junior year. lst Row: G. Milliman, K. Wheeler, G. Paine, M.
