IACKSON PEEPE DONALD REINHARD RICHARD DORAN RICHARD HEINBACH 9 Q IACKSON PEEPE One of the most outstanding basketball players to play in a great bas- ketball school, lack, in his four years of high school, was chosen on the All-South Schuylkill League Team for four consecutive years. As a junior he made the Associated Press All-State second team, and the United Press All-State Hrst team, This year he again is high in the run- ning for all-state honors. Locally, lack has broken all existing records, except for the indi- vidual one-game high. His 1952 total of 590 points is tops, as well as his four-year total, l,746. DONALD REINHARD Donald is the second part of the Grovers' now famous one-two scoring punch. Donnie has developed into the most outstanding pivot man ever to play for Pine Grove. He too has quite a list of honors, including two years on the All-South Schuyl- kill League Team as well as second team All-State honors in 1952. His scoring for the last four campaigns would also have broken all prior existing records as he rolled up 1,387 points with 431 in his 1952 performance. RICHARD DORAN One of the main reasons for a steady procession of field goals this past year was the fine back court work of Dick. Converted from a high-scoring forward, who in 1952 netted 211 points, to the play-maker of 1953, Dick set up many a scoring opportu- nity. While not sensational in his scoring, his steady work under the Grovers' defensive boards made him one of the outstanding players on a great team. RICHARD HEINBACH The story of a real-life hero is this one of Dick's. Forgotten by many Grover fans because of the brilliance of other members of the team, Dick came into his own in the district playoffs when he sparked the club to a resounding 68-50 victory over Nesquehoning for the championship. We wish Dick were back next year. A -82.-
