Coach Pepe's boys are noted for playing their best brand of basketball in the playoffs. They have Won eighteen out of twenty-one games in playoff battles. In regular league play, Pepe's teams have won one hundred forty-four games and lost but twenty-two, for the amazing record of one hundred sixty-two Wins to only twenty-live setbacks. -602

MINUET The birthday of George Washington was commemorated at Pine Grove High School with an appropriate assembly program, reviving the memories of the historical-minded by a return to the Colonial days, when George and Martha Washington entertained in their home on the Potomac. The pageant enitled HA Day at the Home of George Washington was beautifully por- trayed by a group of students wearing the costumes of the eighteenth century. The scenes included guests of the state, prominent in oflicial office: servants of the household, and chil- dren loved by the kindly Washingtons. The pageant opened with scenes of the servants and their master preparing the home for the guests. Dancing by the children was one of the features of the next scene. The climax to the activities of a busy day was the ball held in nonor of the master of the house. ln a beautiful setting, brilliantly lighted and made very colorful by the spotlights, members of the senior class joined in a perfect exhibition of the Minuet. All of the participants were mem- bers of the Class of 1952 with the exception of the children taking part. The production was under the direction of Mrs. Bruce L. Christ, teacher of social studies. The dancing scenes were directed by Mrs. Lee Raybuck, local teacher of artistic dancing. The stage arrangement and decorations were done by lack Goodman, member of the class. The program was enjoyed by the assembly with an excellent applause of their approval. lt will possibly become an annual program to mark this important birth date of the First Pres- ident of our nation. rr- , 2 ' 2
