A., as it is commonly known, is the national organiztion of, by, and for, boys studying vocational agricul- ture in public secondary schools under the provisions of the National Voca- tional Education Acts. The F. F. A. is an intra-curricular activity having its origin and root in a definite part of the school curriculum -vocational agriculture. Among other things, members learn through active participation how to conduct and take part in a public meeting: to speak in public: to buy and sell cooperativelyg to solve their own problems: to finance themselvesg and to assume civic respons- ibility. The foundation on which the Future Farmers of America organization is built includes leadership and character development, sportsmanship, coop- eration, thrift, service, scholarship, improved agriculture, organized recreation, citizenship and patriotism.
