STUDENT COUNCIL Our student government, which was organized last year, has helped in many ways to develop better citizenship in our school. Since the installation of the Student Council oflicers during the assembly program on September 24, laws have been made aiming at the improvement of the school. A student handbook was issued for the benefit of the rural students. The members, rep- resentatives from both Iunior and Senior High School, are elected by the student body. The members are as follows: Twelfth Grade: Lawrence I-land, Ieanne Krause, Robert S. Snyder, Rich- ard Spittler. Eleventh Grades Donald Schwartz, Connie Spittler, Dorothy Mutschler, Elizabeth Wynn, Tenth Grade: lliobert Becker, Ioan Brommer, Richard Reed, Shirley Mer- ey. This is the Tri-Hi-Y code which the girls follow, Club membership is open to any senior high school girl who is willing to uphold the ideals of the organ- ization, which are high standards of Christian character in the school and community. Activities of the year included initiation of new members, installation of oflicers, a barn dance, and the giving of gifts to crippled children. This year the club participated in Teen Topics, a Bible Study Contest. Some of the guest speakers included Rev, Iohn Youse, Mr. Werley, Rev. Walter Deibler, and Nlr. Keiser.
