A Year Of Rebuilding The Hornet Power . . .led the Pine Bluffs team to a dismal 2-6 season. This marks the first losing year under Head Coach Syd Kaschke, who has a four year record of 20 victories, 15 defeats and 3 ties. Despite a poor season, the Hornets had the 3rd best scoring defense in Texas Trail Conference for 1975. The team was not unnoticed in State and Conference selections. Placing on the All-State team were: Ken Russell, lst team linebacker, Clint Floy, Punter, Bill Baker, 2nd team Defensive End, and Phil Thurlow, Honorable Mention Defensive Tackle. Joining the four previously mentioned on All-Conference are: Mark Haukap, Honorable Mention Offensive Tackle, and Loren Jessen, Honorable Mention Offensive Guard. The game was inspired by the Pine Bluffs Lions Club to raise funds for tennis courts to be located on school grounds. The event was a big help to the tennis courts project. The feminine appeal of Doc Stoetzel provokes a stor- ming cheer.
