Our inexperienced team showed marked improvement, and by the end of the season, showed promise of a more successful season next year. Our Homecoming Game against the Du Quoin Indians was predicted to be a total disaster for the Panthers, But the final score, ending 19-6 in favor of Du Quoin, did not truly reflect the closeness of the contest, The Panthers led 6-0 just before the half and dominated play throughout the entire game. The game was truly a moral victory for the Panthers. 1968 SENIORS: Randy Sumner, Alan Smith, David Schubert, Don Robb, Terry Silbe Coach Calvert keeps his cool.
