Get this thing off my hand!
Mrs. H. Miller
Attending nn afternoon Band practice.
To Enjoy . . .
The fun things in school come from band and chorus.
Under the leadership of Mr. Napier, the band practices day
after day to improve its skill. The band can be appreciated
by all people for the time and efforts they put into their
display during half-time at games.
Mrs. Swanson can be found in chorus. She works every-
day to improve the few voices which are brave enough to
try. Every year the chorus puts on a Christmas Display to
show how well they learn harmony and key. Everyone
should say thanks to Mrs. Swanson for all her help.
The Special Education Department headed by Mrs.
Helen Miller has geared its efforts toward a vocational pro-
gram. lt teaches those skills which would be of help to the
boy or girl going into a work situation right out of school.

You can always expect a friendly smile from Mrs. Osburn.
French and Spanish are the two foreign languages
taught here at P.H.S. They help create a world of un-
derstanding by making the world appear smaller.
Through the use of languages, students are prepared
for a future of better comprehension. As students try
to gain knowledge of the language, they discover
that knowing the culture and history where it devel-
oped are also essential.
