PIMA BAND Pre s1dent Kenneth Sal1ne V1ce Pres1dent Clarence McBr1de Secretary and Treasurer Alene Lmes Thls year the P1ma band has an enrollment of forty f1ve members wh1ch 15 the largest 1n the band s hlstory The aCt1V1t1eS of the band were marchmng and play1ng 1n parades playmg at football and basketball games concerts banquets and taklng assembl1es to other schools Our last event for the year was the MUSIC Fe stlval at Thatcher Th1s year the band worked under a po1nt system and the person w1th the most pomts at the end of the year was presented a muslc award Flve of our best mus1c1ans were selected from the band to par t1c1pate 1n an all state band 1n Phoenlx On May 8th and 9th The band has had two part1es th1S year. On January 27, aglee Concert was held in the Church house where recordings were made of the songs. Later in the year they gave aconcert with the band and as always participated in the Spring Music Festival in Gila. One of their biggest achievements was the development of several voices to sing solos.
