Melissa John- son was shown enjoying the canoe races after all the work of organizing the event. Founders Day Activities Rick Ryver, Jeff Hershner, Steve Priode. and Craig Coleman unload their ca- noe for the big race down the Big Sandy. The talent show consisted of many talented students. Meanwhile, Selina Brown, Reberta Wil- liams, Becky Martin, Lynn Perry, and Ja- net Keene model their own creations for the Punk Rock Dance (at bottom left). (Bottom right) Jeff Scott and Jeri John- son find a quite moment to relax from all the action. On November 17, P.C. students punked out with the Stray Cats and other great sounds of the new wave. There was a tremendous turnout ofpunkers at the first Punk Party sponsored byS.G.A. It was awesome, totally awesome! The headbands, wild Devo glasses, long sweatshirts, tight fitting mini skirts, and wild colored tights were a part of the punk scene.

Highlights Of Founders ' Day Activities required participation from many students. Bonnie Lawson resorted to the ner- vous habit of biting her finger nails before canoing down stream in the annual canoe race. Lynn Perry and Lesia Sizemore decided they would only be spectators at this sporting event. Looks like George Diamond really got into a race of his own as he ran the 99 and defeated them with record breaking time. 14 Founders Day
