Academically . . . Adequate classroom facilities, and a devoted able faculty provide the back- ground for the educational program at Pikeville College. Within the buildings which house the college, and through the knowledge and instruction of the faculty, the stu- dent develops the potential to achieve his goals. He acquires knowledge which is useful, not just an acquisition of credits, but a composite of Liberal knowledge . As a famous person once said, Education is a great monument; without it, the past would be lost, the present stagnated, and the future oblit- erated.

£ ' -•: Pikeville College, which is a Pres- byterian related institution, provides spiritvial as well as academic guid- ance. The college itself has a daily wor- ship service. But in the solitude of the Meditation Chapel students often find the solution to personal prob- lems. College life is not complete if the Christian emphasis is omitted. The aims of Christian fellowship at Pike- ville College are to lead students to Christ, to develop a high degree of Christian character, and to stress potential Christian leadership. Spmtually
