D E D I C fl T I n MRS. JAMES F. RECORD To know Mrs. Record is to love her. With her cheerfulness and genuine interest in everyone, she has over the years been an inspiration to all who have known her. Mrs. Record came to Pikeville in 1899, and ever since, the College has been the one great interest in her life. To her husband, Dr. James F. Record, President for twenty-five years, she was a helpmeet in countless ways: one cannot now recall his ideals and plans for the College without at once thinking of the many ways in which her practical bent of mind complemented them so effectively. Mrs. Record was really a mother to all. She cared for the sick; she could take over in the kitchen; she found time to help many with their studies. She treated students as her own chil- dren; their interests were hers, and they still are. We are grateful for the opportunity to thank her for all she has done for Pikeville College, and we wish her much happiness and continued health — and deep satisfaction in thinking of a work so well, so finely done. .=
